The IP-accessible Coolmaster unit can be controlled from the Ampio UNI mobile app.

Activating the Telnet client

Using Windows as an example, start by entering Control Panel, then Programs and Features.

Select Turn Windows features on or off.

If the Telnet client is not active then select it and press OK.

You may need to restart your computer after activation.

Connecting to the unit

The IP address and port must be read from the HVAC unit.

Open a Windows terminal, e.g. with the cmd command, and type telnet IP port.

Then type rest enable.

And rest port 8080.

A message OK, Boot required! should appear, so you will need to reset the Coolmaster unit.

Creating an object in the Ampio Designer

In the Ampio Designer, go to the APPLICATION tab and create a new object in any group with the settings:

  • Object type A/C
  • Temperature range - at your discretion
  • Step - step change at your discretion
  • Type - Coolmaster
  • URL - IP address of Coolmaster unit
  • Unit ID - Coolmaster serial number
  • Unit ID - the number of the unit you wish to control.

Control from the Ampio UNI mobile application

Once the object has been saved, the air conditioning can now be controlled from the mobile app.
